Cable management for Kab-tec GmbH

For Kab-tec, the Carbacan team developed an application for the management and documentation of cable systems. Here, the requirements are particularly complex; in cooperation with us the company succeeded in realizing a systematic and comprehensive cable management, which is used at international large-scale construction sites as well as German nuclear power plants. The software developed by us manages all cable data, routing information and routing data.

Technologies

The Windows application for cable management has been fully developed with Delphi by Embarcadero. The personal and integrated CAD viewer for dgn and dxf files was developed with it as well.

The software is based on a MySQL database. All functions related to data maintenance of revision-protected information were processed with internal procedures, functions and triggers, so the business logic could be neatly separated from the logic of data maintenance.
